Painful orgasm or dysorgasmia is the presence of pain during or shortly after orgasm. This pain can be short lived, or can remain for several hours after orgasm.

Possible Causes:

In men, painful orgasms can occur due to:

  • An untreated STI

  • Pelvic floor muscle activity

In women, painful orgasm can occur due to:
