Postpartum Recovery & Return to Activity

About Postpartum Services

Bringing a baby into the world changes our body — and recovery doesn’t stop at your six-week checkup!

Pregnancy and birth affect our pelvic floor, abdominal wall, hips, and core. Some changes present immediately after birth and some can surface years or decades later. Pelvic health physical therapy can help strengthen your core and pelvic floor, improve muscle coordination and endurance, release tight muscles and tissues, and decrease pain so you can exercise, socialize, and live comfortably and confidently.

At NOLA Pelvic Health we help postpartum individuals rebuild strength, confidence, and capacity in a way that respects healing and supports long-term movement goals! We start seeing postpartum patients as early as 4-6 weeks after birth and can still help 6 years or 6 decades later. It is never too late to get help!
