Constipation occurs when your bowel movements happen less frequently than normal or are hard and very difficult to pass. Typically, it is defined as less than three bowel movements in a week.

Possible Symptoms

  • Abdominal pain and bloating

  • Increased straining during bowel movements

  • A feeling of incomplete emptying
